About Us

The project Wanchope Sports Group was born from the development of a series of ideas to share experiences in football dare the years. At that time the former player Carlos Wanchope Watson, promoter, founding partner of the organization decides to develop the company to provide consulting services nationally and internationally. In 2010 the corporation is created with the name of Wanchope Sports Center SA located in San José, Costa Rica.

Place and Date of Birth: April 15th 1971, San José

- Clubs: Club Sport Herediano (1994-1995), Club Deportivo Carmelita (1992-1994, 1995-1996, 1997-1999) Victoria FC,             Honduras 1996 Honduras Vida Futbol Club, Cartago futbol Club  1996-1997 Santos FC (1999-2001) Universidad de             Costa Rica 2001. 
- Debut: September 20th 1992 Stadium Alejandro Morera Soto, Club Deportivo Carmelita vrs Club Sport Herediano.
- First goal: January 23rd, 1993 at the Ricardo Saprissa. Carmelita’s victory against Deportivo Saprissa 1-2.
- Costa Rican First Division Goals: 54 goals.
- Achievement: Top scorer in the history of Association Deportivo Carmelita in the first division with 38 goals.
- With the Nacional Team: 7 Class ''A'' game between 1993 and 1995.
- Debut: September 23rd 1993. Costa Rica's victory 2x1 against Arabia Saudita
- Tournaments played: Pre World Championship U-17 World Cup qualifier to Canada 1987.

Javier Wanchope Watson(Sport Director)

Place and Date of Birth: April 10th 1968. San José Costa Rica.

- Clubs: Herediano, Curridabat, Saprissa, Carmelita, Santa Barbara. He played in Uruguay with Nacional de Montevideo,             Montevideo Sorting, and Suchitepequez of Guatemala.
- Titles: Herediano national champion in 1985 and 1987 with Saprissa in 1994-95. National of Montevideo, champions in 1992             and 1993. Camel Cup Champion Club Sport Herediano in 1988. CONCACAF champion Deportivo Saprissa in 1995. U-23             Championship 1st Taiwan President Cup 1990. President Cup tournament top scorer with 5 goals Taiwan. Sub             Interamerican Cup champion Deportivo Saprissa 1995 and 1997.
- Debut: September 29th, 1985. Herediano tied one to one against Ramonense in Rosabal Cordero.
- First goal: January 19th, 1986 in the Colleya Fonseca Stadium, Herdiano 2-0 victory against Curridabat.
- Costa Rican First Division Goals: 62 goals.
- With National Team: 9 Class A. games between 1989 and 1996.
- Debut: February 7th, 1989. Costa Rica lost against Poland in the National Stadium 2x4
- Tournaments played: UNCAF 1991. U-17 National Team played in the World Pre 1985. China U-17 World Cup. Copa Libertadores de America (first Costa Rican player to participate and first to perform a goal)
